Compassionate birth and postpartum support for families in SE Michigan

What is a Doula?

A doula is someone who shows up for you, fully, consistently, and without an agenda other than your wellbeing.

Not a doctor. Not a midwife. Something different entirely.

A doula is the person who holds your hand when the room gets loud. Who reminds you of your strength when you forget it. Who knows your birth wishes by heart and speaks up for them when you can't find the words.

I'll be with you before labor begins, helping you prepare, process, and feel ready. I'll be beside you as your baby makes their way into the world. And I'll stay after, in those tender, disorienting early days, when everything feels new and nothing feels certain.

Research tells us that continuous doula support leads to fewer interventions, shorter labors, and more positive birth experiences. But what the research can't fully capture is this, what it feels like to not be alone in one of the most profound moments of your life.

That's what a doula is. That's what I'm here for.

Every birth is wild, sacred, and entirely your own. I'm here to walk beside you through all of it.

Hi, I'm Jill.

I've been drawn to birth and babies my whole life, literally since I was five years old, growing up in my mother's in-home daycare. Over the years I supported friends and family through their births, then lived the profound transformation of my own three births. Those experiences lit something in me that never went out.

Now, with my kids grown and my heart fully in this work, I'm honored to walk beside families in SE Michigan as they step into one of life's most powerful moments.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I never once had to tell Jill what to do — she just did exactly as we talked about. It was the hardest experience of my life, but she really made all the difference. I truly don't know what I would have done without her."

Having Jill at the birth of my third child was by far the best decision I made. My epidural failed, and Jill stepped in without missing a beat — guiding me through labor exactly the way we had planned. After birth she supported me through every challenge of breastfeeding, encouraged me when I wanted to quit, and sat with me when I was dealing with the baby blues so I didn't feel alone.

Three months of breastfeeding and going strong. If you're looking for a doula for birth and postpartum — look no further. You've found the best one.
